The close-knit relationship between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Republic of India is the result of a strong cultural, religious and historical links established since 30 May 1845 with the arrival of the first indentured labourers from India to Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n

Trinidad and Tobago is considered one of the most dynamic and industrialised nations in the Caribbean. With over ten years of solid economic growth, its thriving manufacturing base and world class service providers have made T&T one of the most productive economies in the region. Globally, the Republic of India is recognised as one of the world’s fastest growing economies and as such, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago is steadfast in its commitment to further strengthen therelationship between the two countries.<\/p>\n
