On January 07, 2022 Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry met with e TecK officials Mr. Imtiaz Ahamad- Chairman, Mr. Steve De Las- President, Mr. Daniel Duncan, Vice-President, Projects & Facilities to acquire a first-hand perspective of the progress to date of the construction of the Phoenix Park Industrial Estate (PPIE). Other officials from e TecK’s contractors, Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) and CEP Limited were present. The construction of the park is 60% completed.
“The park has already and continues to create invaluable opportunities for jobs and opens the way for new commercial and foreign direct investment into Trinidad and Tobago’s non-energy sector,” said Minister Gopee-Scoon.
The PPIE is 145 acres in size which is sub-divided into 78 leasable land lots and includes five factory shells. When completed in 2022, the park will provide opportunities to businesses in light and advanced manufacturing; assembly; logistics & distribution; and ICT industries.
