This ministry leads the drive to achieve and sustain the growth of the economy through the development and expansion of the non-energy sector, by diversifying the economy and making local industries more competitive in the global economy.
The UTT was established to meet the technological manpower needs of the Industrial Sector in Trinidad and Tobago, including the Energy Sector. The Board of Governors of the UTT represents shareholders and is comprised of a broad cross-section of Government and Industry representatives.
The TDC is committed to establishing and implementing standards for the development and maintenance of tourism infrastructure and amenities, as well as standards for all identified tourist sites and attractions. This state enterprise is mandated to develop and market Trinidad and Tobago’s tourism product and improve the local tourism sector.

The NEDCO provides funding and training to start or enhance small and micro-enterprises in Trinidad and Tobago. NEDCO funding is specifically designed to assist those who have difficulty accessing funding from banks or other commercial lending agencies.
National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NEC) was incorporated in 1979 to continue the work first started by the Coordinating Task Force in monetising the country’s natural gas resources and developing and managing industrial and marine infrastructure.
