On Wednesday 25th June, 2024, e TecK welcomed Mr. Monish Behl of Asia Plates Steel LLC & Gulf Metals Trading LLC from India to the Alutech Research and Development Facility, located at e TecK’s Tamana InTech Park, Wallerfield. Mr. Behl is the head of an delegation of Indian businessmen visiting Trinidad and Tobago as part of an investment mission. The businessmen are interested in pursuing opportunities in T&T’s manufacturing, health, digital, agriculture and tourism sectors.
The investment mission led them to Alutech which was developed to revolutionize downstream aluminum production and thereby enhance Trinidad and Tobago’s competitiveness in this industry. Alutech was officially relaunched on Wednesday 3rd October, 2018, by Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago where he delivered the feature address at the event. Other speakers on the programme included Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry and Mr. Imtiaz Ahamad, Chairman, e TecK.
