The month of July has been a busy one for the staff of e TecK, as the company’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Committee and its Wellness Committee hosted a Health Fair and Blood Donation Drive respectively.
First up was the health fair where employees received free blood pressure and glucose testing, medical counsel, as well as HIV testing kits from the staff of the North Central Regional Health Authority. Immunizations were also dispensed for Hepatitis B, Tetanus and the flu.
This proved beneficial in ensuring e TecK’s staff were aware of ways they can improve their general health and focus on making corrective measures.
e TecK is also grateful to the Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) who partnered with the NCRHA to provide the mobile blood donation truck to staff on July 26th, 2024. Several members of staff rolled up their sleeves and willingly donated blood that was given in a voluntary non-remunerated way, after being successfully screened as donors. Staff was generally educated on the benefits of donating blood including giving the gift of life, and on the do’s and don’ts of giving blood.
