To date, e TecK has signed on three (3) tenants at its Moruga Agro-Processing and Light Industrial Park. Red Hot Trini Peppers Company Ltd, who specializes in drying and pulverization of hot peppers was the first tenant followed by Woods-man Caribbean Limited, a multi-food processing company and Caribbean Specialty Foods Company Limited Food who manufactures natural, authentic, Caribbean Hot Sauces, Dips and Seasonings.
Launched in July 2020, e TecK ventured into this new territory of the agro-processing sector as support of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago’s s diversification efforts. Once fully tenanted, the Park will aid in reducing the Food Import Bill, increase export potential and positively contribute to the GDP of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Park is ideally located in Moruga to capitalize on the farming that exist in the surrounding communities with produce such as cassava and other root crops, pineapple, cocoa and hot peppers as well the nearby fishing depot for the processing of fish.
There are eleven (11) developed land lots of which five (5) lots have purpose-built factory shells for leasing, and the other six (6) are developed sites for leasing. The Park has all the essential infrastructural facilities necessary for conducting business such as an established road network and all utilities (telecommunications, electrical and water supply, drainage, sewerage and a waste treatment facility). The five factory shells are also outfitted with offices and washrooms, and cold storage spaces where needed.
