During periods of heavy rainfall, the intersection of Albrosco and Sunblock Streets within the O’Meara Industrial park has long experienced flooding due to a compromised underground drainage system. To address the issue, e TecK undertook a comprehensive drainage upgrade. A new covered box drain was constructed along Albrosco Street to increase capacity, and elevated manhole covers were installed at key locations to improve access for regular maintenance and cleaning. Additional inlets were integrated into the kerb and slipper drains to redirect surface runoff directly into the box drain system.
These improvements are expected to significantly reduce flooding at the intersection and enhance overall storm water management within the industrial park supporting both business continuity and public safety.
