e TecK presents on economic diversification

The West Indian Networking Society (W.I.N.S.) of Tampa, FL., recently invited e TecK to be a part of their first annual celebration of Trinidad & Tobago’s Independence.

Manager Corporate Communications, Ms. Nneka Luke, gave a warmly-received speech and presentation on the company’s behalf on the topic of economic diversification in Trinidad and Tobago. The 150-member audience, which comprised well-connected business leaders in Tampa with national ties to the Caribbean as well as India, was interested to hear about T&T’s thriving economy, and the plans the Government has to diversify in the Ten Sectors, and particularly in Downstream Energy and ICT Services.

The audience also got a look at T&T today and the redevelopment that is happening in East Trinidad through a viewing of the DVD “Heading East” at the culmination of the presentation. Several persons expressed interest in getting more information about our country.

Special guests The Consul General of Trinidad & Tobago, The Honorable Gerard Green, and The Consul General of Antigua, The Honorable Ian Sweeney, also addressed the gathering.

The West Indian Networking Society is the brainchild of Trinidadians Tony and Karen Bourne, who started the organisation to support Diaspora businesses in Tampa Bay.
