Plaisance
The Facilities Maintenance Unit (FMU) at e TecK has begun to manage the installation of five (5) new fire hydrants at the Plaisance Business Park which will allow the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) to be better equipped to battle any potential fires within and nearby to the park. The scope of work includes: 1. install of the fire hydrants inclusive of thrust block, foot valve and valve chamber; 2. Road Restoration and 3.fabrication of bollards.
Abbatoir
Upgrade works commenced on Monday 22nd May, 2023 with the project scheduled to be completed on June 10th, 2023. Two new hydrants will be installed with the project involving saw-cutting the roadway, excavating, and laying new PVC pipeline underground and connecting to WASA’s main waterline. The first fire hydrant will be installed in the vicinity east of the e TecK entrance sign and the second will be installed further east, after Aeromarine’s (e TecK tenant) entrance. There is an existing hydrant which is non-functional and located in the roadway. The works also include the removal of this hydrant.
