The design and construction of the country’s first Ago-Processing and Light Industrial Park is substantially completed and expected to be fully commissioned in Q4 of fiscal 2020. Located in South Trinidad, the Park is situated on 7.6187 hectares (18.83 acres) of State land situated in Saunders Trace Moruga. The Park consists of 11 developed land lots of which 5 lots comprise 5 purpose-built factory shells available for leasing, while 6 lots remain available as developed sites for leasing.
The Park includes one designated protected area. This area contains a manmade pond and buffer zone that has been declared a natural feature by the Environmental Management Authority of Trinidad and Tobago..
Road Network and Drains
All lots and common services are accessible by concrete surface roads designed to accommodate loaded 20 feet container trucks within the park. In addition, the park’s storm water run-off is drained by a network covered concrete roadside drains.
All shells include the basic utilities such as electrical power, lighting, fire protection, water supply and security surveillance and; other facilities such as office and meeting spaces and washroom facilities.
Each lot has access to the following utilities- electricity supply, potable water supply, fire protection via fire hydrants, telecommunication infrastructure, wastewater collection to a centralized wastewater treatment plant that treats domestic waste.
- The boundaries of all land lots have established. On completion of the project, cadastral survey of each lot will be available.
- All land lots will be cleared of heavy vegetation and leveled.
The boundary of the park is secured by wire wall fencing. There is a Main Entrance Gate equipped with a Security Booth.
